Hi, I'm Sarim. I'm a Software Engineer that stided computer science with a minor in arabic at UT Austin. This site serves as an outlet to write about my various interests, which include linguistics, philosophy, history, politics, and computer science.

Some facts about me

• I love learning languages and comparative linguistics, exploring how languages are similar and different (I'm currently learning Urdu and Arabic)
• I enjoy programming and especially love exploring new languages and their design, along with learning how systems work (Operating Systems, Distributed Systems, etc.)
• I'm politically active, and I belive that political quietism is laziness. Don't complain if you don't contribute. I'm currently active in activism for political prisoners and local politics
• Love going on walks and listening to music to relax
• Love tinkering around with my text editor (Neovim) and other tools to improve my workflow
• Big fan of wrestling and MMA (Khabib fan)
• I don't believe in using AI to write my posts
